Three Guidelines Before Creating a Net New Business Ecosystem

According to Accenture, by 2025, almost a third of total global sales will come from ecosystems. so we know how exciting that is.

But forming and managing complex ecosystems can be challenging. Consider these 3 guidelines before starting on a journey to create net new business ecosystem:

  1. Identify gaps: First, take inventory of your current partnerships and determine where each plays the most effective role in supporting the overarching initiatives or your organization. This will help you find the gaps that can be fulfilled with new business ecosystem/  The specifics will vary, but the process is simple: Take inventory, identify, and align.
  2. Leverage use cases from tech partnerships.: SaaS companies, in particular, should consider their current partnerships and evaluate which instances and integrations they’ve already developed are easily repeatable for other partnerships. Case studies and plug-and-play integrations not only help drive net-new sales with customers, but they also encourage tech partners to sell your SaaS with their clients. It’s a double-win.
  3. Manage your in-house team: Develop a team that’s consistently bringing on new partnerships and driving growth, and leverage their strengths.
